✔️PANEL: Intrapreneurship and the future of working: 2:00pm - 2:40pm

Intrapreneurs are employees who do for corporate innovation what an entrepreneur does for his or her start-up. These pioneers are essential to any business's success. Yet, one mistake many businesses make is to stifle the creativity of employers with innovative ideas that have the potential to keep the company moving into the future. In this interactive panel, our speakers will discuss how their companies are building innovation into the model and how employees can re-ignite their creative potential at work.

Stephan Eyeson, Guest Products Lead UK at Uber

✔️TALK: Building Digital Communities: A Blueprint: 2:40pm - 3:00pm

Gary McPherson is a community force and has been building community projects for over 20 years. It’s the great paradox of the digital age: the internet connects us to millions of people, yet we can often struggle as business owners to build communities that transcend the functionality of a product or service, and satisfy this longing for community. In this talk Gary outlines what defines an effective community and the key steps required to launch and manage one.

Guest speaker: Gary McPherson, Founder of Ingenyus

______

✔️Where Are All the Black VC's?: 3:30pm - 4:00pm

In the UK as a whole, there are 1,703 people currently working at decision-making levels in VC. Fewer than 1% of decision-making VCs are black.

Andy Davis, Director of London accelerator Backstage Capital, has been the driving force behind bringing the few black people working in VC in the UK together. In this talk, Andy shares his insights challenges, opportunities in the VC space and what founders can do to position themselves for success.

Guest speaker: Andy Davis, Director at Backstage Capital

✔️PANEL: Womanhood, Motherhood and Entrepreneurship: 6:00pm - 7:00pm

Let’s face it. The world would be a better place if more women and mothers were able to launch and grow their businesses. If we trust the birth and mothering of human life with women, we should trust them with creating and nurturing a business to succeed. Gender equality is a hot topic, but what does it really mean in the world of entrepreneurship? What’s at stake if we don’t address the biases women face, from fundraising (receiving more advice than funds) to balancing or choosing between motherhood and business aspirations? Through real life accounts of gender bias (magnified for mothers and women of color), this innovating panel paints womanhood and motherhood not as a hindrance to entrepreneurship, but as essential to creating a healthier, wealthier, and more equitable world.
