Missed the Vine Summer Gathering? Check out our highlights!

Earlier this month Foundervine had its third event of the year - our incredible #VineSummerGathering! Curious about what you missed? Not to worry, continue reading to find out what went on.

In partnership with PwC Multicultural Business Network and Power Circle, Foundervine hosted an evening full of fantastic pitches, speakers and networking.

Guests came together in an electrifying atmosphere to present business ideas, gain amazing advice from mentors and boost their network.

To top it off, attendees were also blessed with wisdom from inspiring speakers such as Rachael Corson, co-founder of Afrocenchix, Tom Adeyoola, CEO of Metail and Frank Meehan co-founder and partner of Sparklabs.

The variety of pitches from the young founders were astounding, ideas ranged from an artificial intelligence drink service, to a tutor app that pairs teachers with students based on personality tests.

Guests also had the opportunity to put our very own #VineCoin to use by investing in the business ideas they liked the most! Out of a total 34,000 Vinecoins, 8 businesses were competing to secure the most investment.

A huge congratulations to our winner of the evening – Abdel Mahmoud, founder of Blum, the maternity health tracking app that tackles healthcare access in a fun and unique way. Abdel had a total of 6,570 Vinecoins invested in his idea and the team at Foundervine really look forward to supporting him in the growth of his business.

The #VineSummerGathering was a great night to remember as attendees were given the opportunity to meet other like-minded individuals with the same passion to grow.
