Head of Stakeholder Engagement & Strategic Initiatives, AVCA

Paul is Head of Stakeholder Engagement & Strategic Initiatives at the African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (AVCA). Paul has a decade of experience working across sectors, with a focus on African development, innovation and SME growth.


Prior to joining AVCA, Paul worked as Business Transformation Lead at British Council in Ghana. Paul specialises in growing business capacity and developing innovative programmes to solve business challenges and drive strategic growth in organisations.


Paul holds a BA (Hons) in Business Management and Accounting from De Montfort University, Leicester.

Emily Kortlang
Group Brand & Marketing Director at The Gym Group

Emily’s first job was driving a Red Bull car with a can on the back and from here she fell in love with the world of marketing and decided to finish her Sports Science at degree at Loughborough and add a Masters in Marketing and Management.  Upon completion, she held a range of roles at Red Bull culminating in leading the launch of Red Bull Cola, an all-together different battleground. 

Emily’s history with youth, her appetite for cool brands prepared her well for her next assignment at Beats by Dr Dre. As employee number one she helped build the team from the ground up, culminating in the sale to Apple for $3bn in 2014 where Emily was appointed as Head of Marketing. She is currently at The Gym Group, the UK’s most successful gym chain you’ve never heard of, where Emily is on a mission to democratise access to fitness and put the brand on the map. Emily holds an MBA in Creative Leadership from the Berlin School of Creative Leadership and Steinbeis University. 

Mathu Jeyaloganathan
Head of Investments at UnLtd

Mathu leads investment work at UnLtd – The Foundation for Social Entrepreneurs. This includes working on UnLtd’s current investment funds and overseeing future investment strategy. Prior to UnLtd, Mathu was a portfolio manager with World Vision Canada, where she helped to launch and operate World Vision’s impact investing funds focused on emerging market economies. Mathu also has prior experience in consulting in Canada, working with impact investing organizations helping them to develop and deliver their investment policies.


Mathu holds a BA (Honours) in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

Theodora Hadjimichael
Chief Executive at Responsible Finance

As Chief Executive of Responsible Finance, Theodora works with her team to increase the provision and awareness of finance from community development finance institutions (CDFIs), so that all businesses, people and communities have access to the finance they need to thrive. Theodora’s previous experience includes working in community finance in the UK and the US.


Originally from Greece and having spent many years in the US, she lives in London with her husband and daughter.

Suzy Levy
Managing Director at The Red Plate 

Suzy is a specialist in delivering complex global change programmes. Although she is best known for her work in inclusion, diversity and organisational culture, Suzy brings wide-ranging experience to the Foundervine Advisory Group; from sales & marketing effectiveness programmes to major technology upgrades, new product launches and organisational mergers. 


In addition to her day-to-day role as Managing Director at The Red Plate, Suzy is also a Non-Exec Director at The UK Home Office, a member of the Strategic Race Advisory Board, a third-sector coach at Impetus and a Trustee at The Women's Sport Trust.

Nathan Brown

Nathan is a co-operative and social enterprise advisor and has delivered one-to-one support, advice and training to hundreds of existing organisations and individuals wishing to establish new organisations since 1998.


In addition to supporting other people’s co-ops and social enterprises, I’ve been doing it myself which has informed much of my practice.  I have been a Director of worker co-ops, regional co-operative support bodies, a Housing Co-operative (which was also Registered Social Landlord), a Credit Union, a Community Benefit Society, a multi-stakeholder CIC, several food co-ops and several music collectives.

Director of Community at One Young World

Safoora is the Director of Community at One Young World. She is responsible for maintaining engagement with OYW's key stakeholders and its community of 13,700+ Ambassadors who are affecting positive change across every sector, in every country in the world. Safoora and her team create and connect Ambassadors with growth opportunities, bespoke programmes, leadership development, media visibility and impact measurement.


Notable 2020 programmes include the Covid-19 Young Leaders Fund which provided nearly $500,000 in support to young leaders on the frontlines of the pandemic response, and successful collaborations with the World Bank, Obama Foundation, Hamilton Commission, and 20+ multinationals.

Daniel Tuitt
 Design Consultant 

Daniel is a Service Design Lead. Who has worked with brands such as BSI, OpenIDEO, Lego, Barclays, Visa, British Gas, Nike, Tesco Bank, many more. He supports his clients to understand HOW and WHY they should build propositions through a systematic approach.


Curious about the world, So he can be the catalyst for change! Daniel is on a quest to transform the way people and brands see challenges in local communities by designing better experiences in a collaborative way. Daniel is obsessed with the intersection between building communities, unrepresented start-ups and creating new value in the world.
