Founderfest 2019: It Takes a Village

… to raise a startup.

Founderfest is here! It’s our annual gathering of future founders, investors, industry professionals and business leaders. The passionate, curious and ambitious coming together to change the face of entrepreneurship in the UK for good.

This year, we’re proud to be sponsored by Just Eat, OpenSUSE., Monese the UK’s first 100% mobile current account and Monterosa the software company behind apps for Love Island and Nickelodeon.

For Founderfest 2019, we opened up our speaking line up to our community. We asked our community what they wanted to speak about and we couldn’t be more excited to host some amazing talks including “Data Protection: Is your Start-up Safe?” by Toyin Oyin and "Killing It" Without Killing Yourself” by Ifeyinwa Frederick, Co-Founder of Chuku's (The world’s first Nigerian Tapas restaurant!)

We’ll be talking failures and restarts, womanhood, motherhood and entrepreneurship with an all-star female panel plus an opportunity for YOU (yes, you) to pitch your idea to our audience to gain feedback and make valuable connections, after all, it takes a village.

How to make the most out of #Founderfest2019

We want you to make the most of the day. Here’s what some of last year’s attendees had to say:

Mary, who’s a management consultant at PwC got the chance to pitch at last year’s Soapbox Session, she said: “The best way to prepare is to think about business ideas you have and what innovation you want to see in your sector.

Morayo says “I learned so much from experts about the importance of having a good team, knowing how to pitch to investors and absolutely knowing my numbers. Talk to as many people as you can because you will learn so much and who knows, you may even meet your future co-founder!”
